Preparing Resources
- Open this website page on the future user's device.
- Check the Owner checkbox in the page header.
- Open the Gdrive Setup page and, when Google asks, sign in with the future user's Google account.
- The site will create the app resources in the user's Google Drive (a folder tree with the root folder π MyPlayer) and some files.
- If you always work using the same account, always use Owner mode.
- If you want to help the user from your own account, share the created π MyPlayer folder from the user's account with your account and grant Writer access (using Google Drive UI or app).
- If you are helping the user from your own account, uncheck Owner mode (you are an Assistant).
- Please note that in Assistant mode, before working with Settings, Links, and Notes, you must first select the folder π MyPlayer, and then the file. This is required for two reasons:
- You can help multiple users at the same time.
- In Owner mode, files are created by the site in the owner's Google Drive, so they can be edited through the site while signed in with the owner account. In Assistant mode, access to files that the owner has shared with the assistant is provided by selecting them via the file picker, which allows these files to be edited through the site without requesting dangerous extended access to your Google Drive.
- The Settings page of the site is a form that allows you to conveniently edit preferred languages and collections. All settings are stored in the MySettings.json file, and when this file is created, it already contains an example configuration. Settings can be changed as needed.
- The Links page of the site is a text editor for the MyLinks.txt file, which stores named links selected by the user to be saved from the results of their voice search. You can delete unnecessary links and upload useful ones to the Shelves or add them to the Collections (using Google Drive UI or app).
- The Notes page of the site is a text editor for the MyNotes.txt file, where the user's voice notes are stored. You can delete unnecessary notes and use the needed ones according to the user's needs.
